The economic challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, has had a dampening effect on the Capital’s development activity. With new condo launches especially in Bangkok’s Central Business District hitting an all-time low.
However, with the Thai Government’s bold announcement that they plan to reopen the country in 120-days and a national vaccination program now underway, a glimmer of optimism is now on the horizon. These positive developments are great news for Bangkok’s real estate market which is gradually starting to regain its momentum.
Ananda Development, the developer of the ubiquitous and popular city condos branded “Elio, Unio, Ideo and Ashton”, could use this recovery and uptick in consumer sentiment to launch its first flagship project of 2021.
Sources close to the Ananda head office report that a project named “Ashton Parc” has been in the development pipeline for many months!
The site of the new project is reported to be located on Rama IV Road, an up-and-coming and strategically positioned neighborhood. It is important to note that Rama IV Road is experiencing a rapid transformation and it is currently the center of intense development activity.
Numerous mixed-use projects are reshaping the Rama IV Road, gentrifying the location and transforming it into a business, retail and lifestyle hotspot. This includes newly launched The PARQ and Samyan Mitrtown; there are 2 other major projects still under development, Dusit Central Park and the ONE BANGKOK. These ambitious developments could propel the Rama IV neighborhood to “prime status” and the area could attain levels of desirability comparable to Asoke-Phrom Phong or even Silom-Sathorn!
It is therefore unsurprising that Ananda Development has chosen to make a “confident statement” and develop under its flagship luxury residence brand “Ashton”. Details of “Ashton Parc” have not yet been released to the public; however, rumors suggest that the project’s launch will be announced in the coming months!
